How to Create a Video Presentation Using Power Point

Today I would like to discuss creating video presentations with PowerPoint (.ppt). These presentations can be used any time you would like to post the presentation content for future review.

First thing you need is a well designed presentation that has a clean flow that covers the information required. Think of telling a good story.. interesting opening to catch their attention, the core message / content and closing.

Second you will want a good tool that allows you to record voice, upload music and edit the entire presentation without being a software developer.  One tool I like is Scate, they a great easy to use tool with a version for the home user or the corporate professional.  Check them out here https://www.scateignite.com/s2.php?action=info.products

Camtasia or Scate Ignite 4.0

Choosing the best tools for creating interactive Video Presentations from PowerPoint Slides, demonstrations of web and client server applications is key to creating high quality presentations.  There are a variety of tools available on the market that can get you started. Scate Ignite 4 and TechSmith’s Camtasia are two of the most widely used screen capture applications for creating demonstrations and electronic learning presentations. Both applications provide user-friendly interfaces and do not require programming skills. Similarities exist between Scate Ignite and Camtasia Studio 4; however, differences such as cost, types of media that can be produced, and level of difficulty using interface options should be considered before selecting which software to purchase. This review focuses on these issues and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of Scate Ignite 4 and Camtasia Studio 4.

After looking at several products like Camtasia from TechSmith, Adobe Captivate and Scate Ignite 4.0 I choose Scate Ignite

Mainly due to 3 factors:

Ease of Use – Scate Ignite 4was the easiest to set up and get going and training new employees is as easy as 1-2-3 plus they have a ton of tutorials available on YouTube

Cost – you can’t beat the pricing, they have a home edition that starts at $37.0 bucks US with the current discount and the standard edition is less than $150.00 US and the feature rich Professional edition is $299.00 if you get the current discount before it runs out.
